Submit an Article

If you want to have your writing published, you’re in the right place.

We’re aiming to have lots of guest contributors writing for this blog and you could be one of them! All you need to have is a good knowledge of video games, a basic use understanding of html (such as inserting pictures and URLs), and some good ideas.

Unlike if you were to contribute to our podcast, if you wanted to write for us then you don’t have to provide a regular stream of content, it does however need to be interesting and well written andunbiased. No “5 reasons why the 360 is being pwnd!”.

If your content is good enough and you contribute regularly enough we may consider you for a full position as part of the InRetroSpect team taking on a specific role or responsibility.

Stuck for ideas on what to write? How about:

• An opinion piece/editorial
• An opinion on the state of the industry
• The biography of an industry figure
• The history of a games company
• A top 5 list
• A review of a game (no scores please)

You should aim for about 500 words but that’s not a hard and fast rule, and of course  may vary depending on the number of pictures you include and the type of content you are submitting.

Any images you source must legal for us to use; created by you, free to use or covered by fair use.

If your content contains information you have sourced from another site, please reference the original site at the bottom of your post.

All you have to do is sign up for the site and click ‘Write a Post’ anything you write will then be suubmitted to us and then hopefully published.
